We've received several inquiries wondering when we'll be accepting submissions for the 2013 edition of Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival.  We're taking a little longer than usual to announce our Call for Entries this year beacuse our plans are so ambitious.  In essence, we're building an all new festival, building on what we learned during three years of running Buffalo Screams and keeping the same filmmaker friendly philsophy and dedication to excellence in genre filmmaking, but taking everything to a higher level.  The result will be worth the weight:

This weekend we'll be scanning the certificates for those award winners who were unable to attend the Buffalo Screams dinner last Sunday.  We'll also create dupes and scans for those who did attend, so that everyone will have a digital copy for their records.  The week following the festival always passes in a blur...

The winners for the 2012 edition of Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival were announced at a dinner ceremony held at The Screening Room Cinema Cafe in Amherst, New York on Sunday, October 21st.  Forty-seven films screened, and over thirty awards were handed out.  Honorary Chairperson Debbie Rochon and Special Guests Paige Davis and Sam Qualiana helped present the awards, which included the Genre Spirit Award for Rochester, New York filmmaker Chris Seaver.

Each year, the Buffalo Screams awards dinner is a highlight of the festival. This year the dinner will be held at our original venue, The Screening Room Cinema Cafe, located in the Northtown Plaza, at 7:00 pm:

Today is the first day of Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival, which plays at the Dipson Theaters Market Arcade Film and Arts Center through this Sunday.  Join us this evening for three feature films: the World Premiere of BLOOD FOR IRINA, a beautifully shot experimental horror film written and directed by Chris Alexander, editor of FANGORIA magazine and produced by David Goodfellow; both gentlemen will be in attendance, along with the stars of the film.

Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival, now in its third year, has announced the nominees for its Screamer awards, which will be handed out at a ceremony at the Screening Room Cinema Café in Amherst, New York on Sunday evening, October 21st.  The festival runs for five days beginning October 17th at the Dipson Theaters Market Arcade Film and Arts Center in downtown Buffalo.

We want to ensure that every filmmaker attending Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival has a great time in our city.
